El final de una época

Loquillo gana un pleito a discos DRO y de este modo sale al mercado «Loquillo y Sabino» un LP que recoge las últimas grabaciones de Intocables y las primeras con Trogloditas.

Morir en Primavera fue el disco que les dio el espaldarazo final , canciones rollinstonianas como Besos Robados o Todo el mundo ama a Isabel que se acercan al rock de los 70 , una excelente balada Rompeolas y una versión de Georges Brassens La Mala Reputación.

Corre el año 88 y se multiplican los problemas, Ricard tiene que abandonar momentáneamente la banda por problemas auditivos (y es que el sonido de sus amplificadores es enfermizo) y Sabino deja de actuar en directo para resolver sus problemas con las drogas, aunque también habría que decir que las relaciones entre cantante y compositor dejan mucho que desear.

Loquillo no esta cómodo con la temática de las nuevas canciones de Sabino.

La imparable ascensión del personaje de Loquillo convertido ya en referente generacional termina por crear un muro infranqueable entre ellos.

L&T se queda sin sus dos guitarristas y como el espectáculo debe continuar se busca como sustituto a Xavi Tacker que rehabilita a la banda para el directo. Ricard  vuelve apresuradamente  y con ambos ese año la gira es brutal, son una máquina de rocanrol con una energía ilimitada y un repertorio inmejorable, el éxito les acompaña, las actuaciones se suceden su presencia en tv y en prensa son casi constantes….es el momento de recapitular y recoger la fuerza de su directo en un disco que les llevará directamente a la cima del éxito, así nace A Por Ellos….

Un disco donde se demuestra el potencial de la banda en directo, un repaso a los temas clásicos y la recuperación de viejas canciones y una década de rocanrol  español. Sabino volvió para grabar este disco, el que fuera uno de los mejores compositores de los 80, abandona definitivamente la banda no sin antes instar a los Trogloditas  a que le acompañen…

Pero los Trogloditas deciden permanecer junto al Loco….

A por ellos… se grabó en la mítica Zeleste, de Barcelona, el 15 de diciembre del 88.

Unos se van y otros vienen y en A por Ellos…se incorpora a los Trogloditas Javier de Villavechia, un saxofonista de una clase exquisita.

La versión de Cadillac Solitario llega al número 1 de las listas seis años después de su edición en el disco Ritmo De Garaje.

El disco se dispara y llegará a vender mas de 300.0000 mil copias dobles.
