Sin que haya ninguna duda, Loquillo es la personificación de la rock star española.

Tipo duro de aspecto imponente es mucho más que un cantante de rock and roll al uso. Su estética combina el cuero de macarra de barrio con el dandy de traje de corte impecable y sombrero de ganster.  No sabe tener la boca cerrada y sus declaraciones siempre están en el ojo del huracán. Si estás dispuesto a escucharle no dejará títere con cabeza, ataca a los medios y la industria discográfica, aunque sea su propia compañía de discos.

Sus opiniones son básicamente incendiarias.  Ha coqueteado con la política aunque con el paso del tiempo,  se ha ido desencantando del tema, pero no creas que se ha amansado,  solo está observando para atacar en el momento mas inesperado.

Trabajador incombustible, disciplinado y tenaz, ha permanecido treinta años en el panorama de la música del país sin dejar de sorprender a nadie. Ni a sus fans a los que ha paseado por gran parte de los estilos del rock, ni a sus detractores que son muchos y feroces, rompiéndoles los esquemas una y otra vez con sus múltiples facetas, sus cambios de sentido, sus salidas de tono y sus aventuras extra musicales.

Es astuto, un forajido de lo convencional que ha sabido hacer una carrera sólida a su imagen y semejanza, fijándose en los grandes y sin perder el norte de su propio personaje. Incansable, junto a su banda de toda la vida, Los Trogloditas o en solitario ha sabido renovarse cada vez que parecía que su carrera se estancaba, sin conformarse con los laureles obtenidos, arriesgándose a nuevos rumbos, sin soltar el timón de su propia vida. Siendo fiel a sí mismo.

Tal vez esta no sea una biografía apasionada, con anécdotas de carretera y chismes de salón.  Pero son los hechos de un artista honesto con una carrera que tras treinta años de historia, acaba de empezar.
